Held by Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, China International Auto Parts Expo (CIAPE) is the only internationalized exposition of auto parts by the state, which will be held every year. The first CIAPE is scheduled to be held from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, 2007 in China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, with a floorage of over 50,000 square meters.
CIAPE will bring together outstanding auto parts enterprises from both China and abroad. Co-organizers and participants will include world renowned automobile and auto parts corporations such as Bosch, Denso, Delphi, General Motors, Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota, DaimlerChrysler, BMW, PSA Peugeot Citroen and Hyundai Motor, as well as the 18 whole car manufacturing groups in China.
The first CIAPE will give a comprehensive display of domestic and international auto parts and components, after-sale products (auto electronic devices; automobile necessities; car caring, cleansing and maintaining products and devices; repairing and testing devices, lacquer plant facilities and parking lot facilities; chain stores of expedient automobile repairing and after-sale services; equipment and products of environment-friendly automobiles, recycling and scrap treatment), automobile conversion equipment and products, and auto products related media and clubs, etc.
The exposition will be attended by whole car, auto parts and aftermarket products suppliers, purchasers, the general public, media and professional visitors from China, the U.S.A, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Russia, Sweden, Hungary, Czech, the Middle East, Japan, South Korea, India, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Taiwan, etc.
The development of China's automobile industry has benefited from China's policy of reform and opening up to the outside world, as well as its extensive cooperation with the global automobile industry. China has become the world's 2nd largest consumer and 3rd largest manufacturer of automobiles five years since its entry into the WTO; and it is also the world's largest potential market for automobiles. In this context, China will provide more opportunities for cooperation than ever before to the global automobile and auto parts industries. Cooperation will bring about a win-win situation which will not only develop China's own market but also the multinationals themselves.
China International Auto Parts Expo will open a window for both China's and international automobile and auto parts industries by introducing their development level and trend of growth. It will serve as a platform for the release and commercialization of new products, technologies and materials, establishment of brand image, introduction of advanced technology, equipments, key parts, advanced management and overseas intelligence. It also aims to promote import and export, new market development, investment and cooperation both at home and abroad, interaction between R&D and production, and multilateral exchange.
